    Here is a Vintage Chinese Calligraphy Cicada INK Black Gold Stick In Box, Broken Glass Lid.
    It is some
    "Encre de Chine"
    which means
    "Ink from China"
    but I think that this is what we call
    "India Ink"
    , which doesn't make sense, because China is not India... Anyway, it was made in China and I bought it in Paris, France, about 25 years ago. It has never been used.
    It is mostly meant to be used for Calligraphy.
    It is a beautiful object and useful as well.
