Antique British WW1 era P1896 Indian Mountain Battery Sabre. A very rare model. This example was made by Mole. One of the premier Victorian British sword makers. There are various stamps on the hilt and scabbard, including a 1918 date stamp and an India export mark. The service sharpened blade is in good condition with some staining throughout and light pitting mostly near the tip. The hilt is solid with no wiggle. The original leather scabbard is in good shape with some surface cracking throughout. The blade sheaths about 98% of the way, probably due to leather shrinkage.
