    Description

This is a gorgeous Antique Thai Theravada Buddhist Painted Drawing (Samut Khoi / Parabaik) on heavy paper.  This folded paper drawing folds into two equal halves and shows two Dancers on the margins with Thai script in the middle.  This item is old and I conservatively estimate the piece dates from the latter part of the 1800's. This Samut Khoi was purchased by my father and myself in Bangkok in the early 1980's when he owned an antique shop in Penang, Malaysia.  We admired these drawings and actively collected them.  We were always on the lookout for good examples such as this one.  Once mounted & framed this Manuscript would be a stunning addition to the interior decor of any home.  Please note the detailed item Condition Description referenced above.
